Are you licensed and insured?

We are fully licensed and insured.

How long have they been in business?

We are family-owned business in operation since 1997 based in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia in Bucks County.

Do you provide workman's compensation for your employees and carry liability insurance?

Absolutely.

Do you offer you references?

We are pleased to offer a reference list upon request.

Do they offer testimonials?

We have received many unsolicited testimonial letters that you may review.

Do you carry all the latest heating and cooling equipment? Are you properly trained and certified to install or repair this equipment?

We are a certified Trane dealer. We are also certified in the latest environmentally friendly and economic solar systems. We also have access to any other equipment manufacture you already have or may be interested in.

Do you provide all warranties and guarantees in writing?

All of our guarantees are written and honored with promptness and courtesy.

Do you mind answering questions?

There is no such thing as a dumb question. It is our job to help you find out what you need to know.

Are you fully staffed?

Dowd's Heating and Air Conditioning maintains a fleet of vehicles fully stocked for the jobs for which they are designated. The Dowd's Heating and Air Conditioning name, logo, phone number and address are prominently displayed on all of our vehicles Whether it is a cooling or heating task, or a new solar installation, we only send the right people with the expertise required for the job.

Do you have a service department staffed by real people, or is there just an answering machine?

Our office, staffed by real people, is open from 8am - 5pm, Monday to Friday. After normal business hours, an experienced technician is available to answer your calls and provide emergency service.

Do you offer financing?

Many of our customers have felt that ultimate comfort in the home was highly desirable, but financially out of reach. Dowd's Heating and Air Conditioning is proud to offer a wide variety of residential and commerical that can be tailored to any budget. In addition, we also participate in the various rebate programs and will help you file the necessary rebate forms, if available.

Do you accept credit cards and debit cards?

We accept major credit and debit cards from VISA and MASTERCARD.

Do you have preventative maintenance plans and service agreements?

We have a variety of different service plans for our residential and commercial customers to assure uninterrupted comfort, extend equipment life and peak equipment efficiencies.

Do you provide a written proposal?

Of course. Our written proposal will clearly define the equipment to be used, the work to be performed, and the agreed upon price. We can also usually offer you a choice of equipment with "good", "better" and "best" options.

How come you're not as cheap as my brother-in-law, who does HVAC equipment on the side?

Don't be misled to believe that "low price = best value" When buying any HVAC, component, the lowest first cost is virtually never the best value. And while your brother-in-law may be a good guy, a part-time contractor is never going to provide you with the service and quality that a full time professional employed by a company with the experience and reputation of Dowd's Heating and Air Conditioning.

Do you service after the sale?

Our business is built on getting and keeping customers by providing premium service at a fair and reasonable price. We are not completely comfortable until you are.

Can you provide a complete service history at the touch of a button?

All of our services are completely computerized, providing a complete record of every detail including the make and model of equipment we install, date of installation, warranty registration information, and the nature of every call made.
